Jeffrey Lewis & Los Bolts /Alexander Bradshaw/ Vicious Fishes

Friday, May 17, 2019 - 8:00pm to 11:45pm

Jeffrey Lewis & Los Bolts with special guests Alexander Bradshaw Band & Vicious Fishes electrifies the Sacred Root Kava Lounge with an all age show Friday, May 17! The show starts at 8pm with an $8 cover.

Jeffrey Lewis & Los Bolts (NYC) play an abnormally satisfying style of scuzzy urban indie-rock-folk, like a 21st Century mash-up of Sonic Youth, Pete Seeger and R. Crumb. Born and raised New Yorker Jeffrey has pursued a relentless touring schedule around the world since 2002, as well as playing as the opening act for bands like the Mountain Goats, Daniel Johnston, Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks, Dinosaur Jr, The Fall, Dr. Dog, Pulp, Roky Erickson, The Vaselines, and most recently a USA tour supporting Hobo Johnson at 2,000-capacity venues. Jeffrey has released seven critically acclaimed albums on Rough Trade Records, in addition to occasional self-releases and projects on other labels (like K Records or Don Giovanni), and Jeffrey continues to self-publish his art and writing in an ongoing underground comic book series called Fuff. Current Los Bolts bandmates include Brent (Moldy Peaches) Cole on drums and Mem (Cat Tatt) Pahl on bass and keys. Jeffrey Lewis & Los Bolts have recorded a brand new full-length album in Nashville with producer Roger Moutenot (Yo La Tengo), with title and release date tba!
